How did these incredible Adirondack ski chairs come to be? Well when you’re a lifelong upcycler living by the ski village of Lake Placid, NY these things have a way of coming together.
Anne Rast is an avid skier with a passion for upcycling. The daughter of post-war Austrian immigrants, Anne has known from a young age to be grateful for what you have and to make the most of it. So, when Anne started seeing skis pile up at the dump, she started collecting them. One day she spotted a dilapidated ski chair and the idea for an Adirondack ski chair sparked. That was in 2005 and Anne has been crafting these eclectic cool chairs ever since.
We’re sure you will agree that Anne’s Adirondack ski chairs feature stunning colour combinations and patterns. With the collection of skis that Anne has amassed, online customers can even choose their preferred pattern from various ski combinations. Anne has even pioneered folding Adirondack ski chairs.
This is one upcycle idea that we’d love to get on top of!
