You may recall the gorgeous upcycled jewelry brand, RUBY. This South African company is one of our favourite upcycled jewelry brands! We were honoured when RUBY invited Upcycle That’s Judy to participate in their latest campaign, Pamper & Pout. There were 6 bloggers featured and each was asked to pick an archetype to express. Ideas for archetypes included Siren, Mermaid, Grecian goddess etc. Judy chose a persona close to her heart, the Champion of Upcycling. To celebrate the campaign, RUBY wants to give away the gorgeous upcycled jewelry featured!
As the Champion of Upcycling, Judy’s whole campaign look was made from upcycled materials. The gorgeous corset was made from repurposed jeans and covered with Zulu love letter pins. These were hand-beaded by the RUBY beading circle. The RUBY beading circle is an fantastic fair-trade initiative which enables South African women to use their traditional beading skills in the contemporary fashion industry. Judy’s skirt (not pictured) was made completely from reused ties and the wig was made from upcycled red plastic shopping bags. The highlight of the look was definitely the upcycled jewelry. We absolutely love these upcycled coin necklaces and have done a previous giveaway with them before.

First of all I absolutely loved this photo shoot that Ruby did,I think that it was so out of the box and innovative.Judy looked ravishing! This is so difficult as I absolutely adore them all, but number 7 is my fav as rose quartz is for healing and growth! I love the bullet casings and this entire up-cyle range!
